LOCKED OUT – resolved – 10th Feb update!

By 24/01/2025February 12th, 2025No Comments

JANUARY:  THE SALEROOM IS CLOSED 6th-17th JANUARY.  Our temps will deal with as many emails as they can remotely.
UPDATE !!!!!
PLEASE NOTE:   on return from our first break in 7 years, our temps have managed to lock us out of our online banking and subsequently our emails too!!   We are currently working on both issues as a priority.
Please bear with us whilst we rectify this. We will reply to all emails as soon as access is restored and will answer them in date order.
Thank you for your patience.

VENDOR REPORTS: were raised by our invoicing clerk 16th-20th January. Approximately 70% have had their reports/payments.
The rest will follow as soon as the below is resolved. ( we believe that paying a small office account bill via an app rather than the usual bank transfer may have caused this.) As frustrating as it is, at least a lock down means security.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience in the meantime.

The next auction date (February) will be announced shortly.
We will only be accepting entries AFTER the next auction as the saleroom is currently full.

UPDATE JAN25:

A mere payment of £37.90 was made from the office account via an app (faster/open payment) rather than bank transfer.
This triggered a fraud alert and all the bank accounts’ online access was locked down by Lloyds bank see above.

The clerk thinking there was an actual fraud attempt, quite rightly changed all the password to the entire emails, back office system, invoicing and diary systems, inadvertently managing to lock everyone out of all the systems, including the clerk herself.

Please bear with us whilst we try to resolve this.

FURTHER UPDATE FEB25:
all access is now restored!  Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Our temp admin is answering all new emails, whilst myself & Barbara are working through the rest of the emails in date/urgency order.
We have just under 1000 inbox emails to reply to, so please bear with us and you will hear from us shortly.
Rest assured that there has not been any fraud or attempted fraud and as frustrating as it is, (and trust me it has been FRUSTRATING!)
a lockdown is better than any risk.

IF YOU HAVE CONTACTED US AND DO NOT RECEIVE A REPLY, THEN THERE IS A CHANCE YOUR EMAIL MAY HAVE HIT OUR SPAM BOX…..the spam box as at 10/02/25 has 1379 emails in it and will be the last batch that we check.
