Super result for house clearance clients

Our last two online auctions yielded some super results for our house clearance clients.
In the decorative section a large neo-classical mirror achieved £2551, a delightful oil on board of a lemon achieved £476 and a large pair of opulent oils on canvas achieved £1102.
Italian silver results were high with a tortoise trinket box making a £511  and a contemporary formed jug at £302 hammer prices. An English Mappin & Webb cocktail shaker made £172 with a Guernsey cream jug at £116.  A set of Waterford crystal dinner glasses achieved £781 and £101 for further decanters.  Roman lacrimariums (tear catchers) made £73 and a navis unguentarium (ships shape oil bottle) made £82 both having even sick iridescense.
In the furniture section armchairs did well with a reverse scroll arm making £621 and a smaller wingback £581 both being of great quality and shape.  A bijouterie vitrine  made a credible £502 with a private buyer fighting off strong trade bids and even more delighted when we found the original key in a tea pot! Brass & glass trolleys of good quality made £ 361 – £451 per pair, a walnut quater cut veneered breakfast loo table made a deserved £451 and a barn find Welsh stick chair in need of restoration achieved £321.
In the salvage sections 4 cast urn planters made £800, a pair of serpentine candlesticks did £326, a wirework trough planter & a flamingo bird bath did £201 & £161 respectively. A pair of mossy terracotta rhubard forcers with damaged lids made £172.
